Jimmy Deenihan, T.D., Minister of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht met Bishop Bill Murphy Monday 2nd of July in St. Erc’s and St. Ita’s Room, Bishop’s House to formally thank the diocese of Kerry for transferring parish records of Baptism, Marriage and Death from the Kerry Diocese to Irish Genealogy. The Kerry Genealogical Centre presented digitised records of the Church records of Baptism, Marriage and Death for the Diocese of Kerry, to the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism in October 2009. These records are now available on the website www.irishgenealogy.ie
