Sixty people gathered in St john’s Parish Centre for an evening celebrating their mission, on Tuesday the 22nd of October 2019, at the invitation of Bishop Ray Browne. This inspiring group had worked in countries all over the world. Sean Lyons facilitated the night and he invited the group to name the countries where they had been on mission. The world would have come alight had the locations of their missions been displayed visually. It was an amazing gathering which demonstrated a world wide reach and commitment from this group. Many of the people who attended had worked with NGOs as development workers, with Viatores Christi, Trocaire, Concern, Goal or with the VMMs, but the group was mainly made up of religious, sisters and priests who had gone as missionaries to serve in different parts of the world.
