In our parish people are nourished by the Word of God. It is a parish where love is tangible and practical. It is a place where people pray together. Our parish community is centered on Jesus Christ, on knowing and loving him. It is incarnated in the love we show one another.

150th Anniversary - Rathmore Church

The year 2010 marks a milestone in our parish. We will celebrate the
150th anniversary of St. Joseph’s Church, in Rathmore. I hope this
happy occasion will be celebrated by everyone in the parish: Rathmore,
Gneeveguilla, Knocknagree and Shrone. During the year we will recall
the deep faith and unbelievable sacrifices of our ancestors. Sundays for
them were always sacrosanct. The 150th celebrations will probably
take place in late September or early October.
