School Projects
The Young SVP programme is a free, non-competitive programme that places young people at the centre of their own learning, encouraging personal development, volunteering and social action.
Throughout the year, the Young SVP team provides ongoing support through a series of engaging workshops exploring SVP, poverty, equality and social justice. Students can take part in up to six visits during the school year and will be supported to develop and complete a social action project based on SVP values.
The programme provides young people with opportunities to develop their understanding of social justice, build confidence and discover practical ways to make a positive difference in their school and community.
Participants may also attend Young SVP events, connecting with other young people, teachers and leaders to share experiences, ideas and learning.

Ceiliúradh na nÓg is a diocesan programme which celebrates young people and their faith. It endeavours to provide opportunities for students to take what they have learned in the classroom and in their homes and put this learning into practice. This programme has been running in the diocese of Kerry for over twenty years, evolving and changing over time to provide for student and teacher needs. The programme is now open to Junior Cycle students as well as Senior Cycle students.
There are two elements involved in Ceiliúradh na nÓg.
- Project work in the classroom
- Diocesan Celebration Day – 22nd April, 2027.
