Confirmation
The celebration of Confirmation is a sacred and important moment on a long journey of faith development. Together with Baptism and First Holy Communion it opens the door to full membership of the Christian community. It is the beginning of the young adult’s ownership of their faith, supported and nourished by their family and their faith community.
Parish Preparation Programme
Our new Diocesan Programme Called & Sent is a parish based Confirmation preparation programme that invites children and their families to grow in faith within their parish community. Through eight themed monthly Masses, prayer and reflective activities, children explore the meaning of Confirmation and discover how the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit can shape their everyday lives. Bringing together home, school and parish, the programme helps children prepare to receive the sacrament with understanding and joy, and encourages them to live their faith with confidence, kindness and a spirit of service.
