 DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY

PRESENTATION OF BAZAAR CHEQUE

On Thursday 4th February a cheque for an impressive €60,328.80 was handed over to Very Rev. Sean Hanafin, the proceeds of last December's St. John's Bazaar. A group of over 70 people gathered in St. John's Parish Centre to watch Rev Kieran O'Brien and Kathleen Houlihan of the Parish Bazaar Committee present Very Rev. Sean Hanafin with the cheque. FLOOD COLLECTION

St Colmans Church, Church Lane, Gort, Co. Galway.

The people of St. John's Parish in Tralee raised €7,256 in response to flooding in Gort, Co Galway.  The Parish Preist of Gort Very Rev. Tommy Marrinon expressed thanks and appreciation to all who contributed to the flood collection.

HAITI  EARTHQUAKE  APPEAL

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and was ill equiped to respond to the earthquake when it happened on the evening on January 12th. the dedestation was colossal.

Trocaire have worked in Haiti for 20 years and were already in place when the disaster struck. This meant they could act very quickly to help those in need.

St John's Parish responded by organising a special collection in the parish which amounted to €7,518
