Vision of the Diocesan Liturgy Committee
To resource diocesan and parish liturgy as vibrant celebrations of our faith in God, reflecting life experience and calling us to live our faith.

Role of the Diocesan Liturgy Committee:

  • Support parish liturgy groups and emerging liturgy groups;
  • Provide liturgical resources and workshops;
  • Provide liturgical guidelines;
  • Facilitate diocesan celebrations through input and organisation
  • Explore ways of ritualising and celebrating our faith in a changing and multicultural society
  • Provide formation for priests, bishop and lay people as leaders of liturgy.
  • Provide liaison with the National Bishops' Commission on the Liturgy and the National Centre for Liturgy, St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth and other liturgical groups.
  • Introduce and explain liturgical changes and options as they occur.
  • Undertake other work in the area of liturgy as deemed necessary.
