New nurses and carers are always welcome. It is hard work but very rewarding. Carers must be 17 years of age when travelling. The fare for those on a full-time rota is subsidised.
While in Lourdes we have a full programme in place which includes a special Kerry Diocesan Pilgrimage Mass at the Grotto – the highlight, Vigil of Reconciliation, Vigil of Healing, participation in the Blessed Sacrament Procession and Torchlight Procession, Mass in the Rosary Basilica to mention but a few.
The liturgies are led by priests from around the diocese and the Kerry Diocesan Pilgrimage Choir is representative of parishes throughout the diocese.
The presence of our assisted pilgrims in Lourdes and the help and kindness shown to them by the Diocesan Care Team makes the Kerry Diocesan Pilgrimage very special.
