Praying for families

The Icon has just arrived in Tralee.

The Dwornicki family joined the long queues to see and pray before the Icon in Killarney… along with thousands over the weekend.

The Icon of the Holy Family visits our diocese as part of the ongoing encouragement to support family life and faith. The Icon was specially commissioned for the World Meeting of Families, taking place this August in Dublin. The Icon will be present in four venues, while all parishes will be united in praying for families throughout these 12 days.

A petition box accompanies the Icon and intentions will be brought to the Closing Mass of the World Meeting of Families at which Pope Francis will preside. The intentions are being prayed for by  the religious communities in Ireland in the intervening five months.
