Kerry Earth Week Meeting

Your Parish is invited to attend a preparatory meeting on March 6th, at 11.30 in the John Paul II Pastoral Centre, Rock Road, Killarney – to prepare for Kerry Earth Week.

This meeting, chaired by Bishop Bill, is being held to gather ideas, share resources and explore what different parishes might wish to do to join in this celebration.

Each parish is being invited to send 2 parishioners to this preparatory meeting on Saturday 6 March. These people may be actively involved, or not, in some parish ministry, environmental issues or simply have an interest or willingness to come and explore this issue and possibly get involved on return with parish support.

In this Cardinal Brady wrote “I encourage all people of good will to reflect urgently on how we can work together to take more responsible care of our planet now and for the sake of generations yet unborn”.
“ This too is a vocation…The way humanity treats the environment influences the way it treats itself, and vice versa”.Pope Benedict XVI, Caritas in Veritate
